The first Psi Chi member we will be highlighting is Jenna Lee Nguo, the current President of Psi Chi at UCR. I'm very excited for everyone to join me for these highlights to get to know her better.

Jenna is a Psychology major with an interest in school counseling and higher education affairs. In her time with Psi Chi, she has been incredibly active and an amazing role model. Jenna started out as a freshman laymember during her first year at UCR, served as the Director of Events and Outreach on the previous board, and is now the President. She has a clear passion for Psi Chi, with her favorite event thus far being the Spring 2019 Inductions!

However, something terrible has occurred in the Psychology building, and I'm afraid I have no choice but to turn this highlight into a record.... of my investigation. Late last night, after the sun slipped away and the cold of the evening settled in, she sent me a note via Psi Chi carrier pigeon with a rather cryptic message. "Meet me in PSYC 1136 tomorrow at noon - I've discovered something big, big enough to change Psi Chi forever!"

Well that's a strange message... something new and exciting seems to be afoot, which is why I hurried over to the Psychology building with haste and gusto. As I approached PSYC 1136, the circumstances seemed quite peculiar. All of the lights are out... and the door is slightly ajar. As I entered the room, Jenna was nowhere to be found. The window was open, curtains fluttering in the chilly breeze. As a matter of fact it was freezing - with the freezer door wide open and thermostat reading 30 degrees below 0?! There's a loaf of banana bread on the windowsill- Jenna has made banana bread from scratch before, perhaps it's one of her delicious creations. And, the final object of notice - banana peels all over the floor; an OSHA hazard if I've ever seen one.

Suddenly, there's a dreadful crash, a mixture between a construction zone and an amateur attempting to play Schumann’s Toccata in C Major Op. 7 for the very first time. Dashing to the window, I behold a terrible sight. A grand piano had fallen from the top of the Psychology building, and Jenna was crushed underneath! In her outstretched hand are two books: "The Sun is Also a Star" and "Everything, Everything" by Nicola Yoon - two of her favorite books! Jenna loved creative writing and reading. From up on the rooftop, there's a brief flash of pink before whatever (or whoever) was there vanished.

While this may seem like an unfortunate accident, I assure you, there is dastardly mischief afoot, and a mystery to be solved! For Jenna, and for the future of Psi Chi, this murder most foul must be solved. Brave Psi Chi sleuths, it is up to us to track down the culprit of Jenna's untimely demise! Join the conversation on Discord under the Mystery Highlights channel to help me parse through the clues, and see the latest suspect (or highlighted member) each week under our newest segment - Mystery Highlights!

*No Jenna's were harmed in the making of this message or mystery*
